What is
the difference between Domain Name Hosting
and Virtual Domain Hosting?
Answer: Right
Step Technologies offers a service called
Domain name Hosting. Please see
Hosting Plans for a
description of this service.
There are three major differences.
The big difference is speed. With a Domain
Name Hosting service, the visitors browser is
redirected or rerouted back on the Internet
to find the actual location. With Virtual
Domain Hosting, this does not happen, the
visitors browser is instantly directed to
your web site.
The second difference is that with a Virtual
Domain Hosting service, our web server
supports FrontPage server extensions and form
e-mailers, page counters and other services.
The web server that your web site actually
resides on may not.
Finally, with a Virtual Domain Hosting
service, the visitor sees your name in the
address or URL of their browser, i.e., www.yourcompany.com, which makes a bigger
impression on your visitor because for
aesthetic reasons there is the perception of a
real company, perhaps with their own web
server and Information Technology (IT)
department. With Domain Name Hosting the
visitor will see your personal web address.

I want
to have my customers fill out a form and have
it e-mailed to me. Does your service provide
for this?
Answer: Yes

I
already have access to the Internet with my
Internet Service Provider (ISP). Do I need to
to pay extra to access my web site with your
service?
Answer: No.
You can access your web site for viewing and
changing using your current ISP access.

Can I
have my own CGI and ISAPI programs?
Answer: Yes.
With the Domain Silver and Domain Platinum
packages, we provide you with your own
directory for CGI and ISAPI scripts. The
other hosting levels below that only provide
standard CGI and ISAPI functionality. The
higher priced packages cover the overhead of
having your programs execute on our web
server.

I
currently do not have Internet access. Does
your service provide Internet access?
Answer: No, we are not an Internet
Service Provider (ISP). We offer Web Site and
Domain Name Hosting services as well as Web
Site Development services and
Custom Software
Programming. For Internet access
you will need a local or national ISP.

What is
database access (for example, Access or Sql
Server) and why isn't this provided with the
Domain Economy packages?
Answer:
Database access is the ability to store
information entered by your visitors from one
or more of your web pages and can be later
retrieved for reporting, analysis and other
business decision-making reasons. Because of
the overhead on our web server to provide
this service it is only provided with the
higher-end needs of the Domain Silver and
Domain Platinum packages. If you don't need
it, then you don't have to pay for it.

Are
E-mail accounts provided with all services?
Answer: Yes.
The number varies with the service. E-mail
aliases are provided as well. An E-mail alias
will be directed to one of your primary
E-mail accounts.

How
much will it cost me, how long will it take
to get my web site on your web server, how do
I put my changes on your web server?
Answer: A
web site will cost as little as $13 a month. It depends on how
large your web site is, what speed your modem
is and other factors. You can use FrontPage to publish your web site or we can
set you up to publish your web site via a web browser.

Are
there any programs provided free of charge
for me to be able to put changes to my web
site on your server?
Answer: Yes. We
provide
a freeware FTP program for this. We do
not however, provide any Web Site development tools
such as Microsoft FrontPage version
2002, for example.

When
can I put changes to my web site on your
server?
Answer: Any
time you want, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Does
your hosting service support FrontPage version 2002?
Answer: Yes. We
support the server
extensions for FrontPage version 2002. This
allows you to use all of the functionality that
is included with FrontPage version
2002. And since FrontPage version 2002 is backwards compatible you can also use FrontPage 98/2000

What
would my web site address be with the Virtual
Domain Hosting package?
Answer: Your
address would be the name the you or we

just WeMakeWidgets.com.

How
does the Domain Name Hosting service work?

Domain Name Hosting service we will redirect
your visitor to your actual web site using
our DNS (Domain Name Services) server. We do not host your actual web site's web pages and files. For
